Are wild dogs roaming St. Louis? Ten years after a fourth-grade boy was attacked and nearly eaten alive by wild dogs in north St. Louis, city leaders are scrambling to make sure it doesn’t happen again.

Aldermanic President Lewis Reed is sounding the alarm. “I’ve witnessed packs of dogs, 10 and 15 dogs running together, and I’ve seen all these dogs I’m talking about they don’t have collars, they don’t have tags, these are truly wild dogs,” he said. wild dogs st. louis yahoo,

Reed says stray dogs are terrorizing the north side. ”It’s obscene that parents have to walk their kids to school, in some parts of the city, with a golf club to fend off wild dogs.”

Reed isn’t only one sounding the alarm. 21st Ward Alderman Antonio French posted a video on his YouTube channel showing a dog menacing some local residents. Louis Reed 10 15 dogs, +Health director Pam Walker bite cases owned dogs,

Health Director Pam Walker says for the year the city has reported 360 dog bites, many of them serious enough for the dog to be euthanized.

“Bite cases are owned dogs. They keep talking about this like it’s packs of feral dogs running through the city, we don’t,” she says.

Aldermanic President Reed strongly disagrees, he told KMOX News “we have an explosion of wild stray dogs in St. Louis and a great number of them are born out of captivity.”

Walker will unveil a plan this week to put more dog catchers on the street, but she says she’ll need Reed’s help to find the half million it will cost to fund.
