Snoop’s sitcom gets a home. Snoop Dogg Developing Family Sitcom. The rapper is in talks with Warner Bros. to star in new project. Snoop Dogg is no stranger to television, but he could soon land his biggest TV role yet: sitcom dad.
Snoop and veteran producer Don Reo are currently developing a new family sitcom, in which Snoop would star as the patriarch, with Warner Bros. TV, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The sitcom is just one of several projects currently on Snoop's plate, including an American Idol-style competition series oriented toward finding the next hip hop superstar, the stoner comedy film High School with Wiz Khalifa and a biopic where he’ll play blues singer turned San Francisco pimp Fillmore Slim.

Producer Reo has previously worked on the series Two and a Half Men, Everybody Hates Chris and My Wife and Kids. If Snoop's sitcom goes forward, it won't be the first time television audiences get to see him play a doting dad — the West Coast icon starred with his real family in the E! reality series Snoop Dogg's Father Hood from 2007–2008.
