'I wish liberals could leave little kids alone': Fox anchor's anger over 'brainwashing' in MUPPETS movie as villain's name is Tex Richman

Fox Business commentators verbally attacked a new enemy on a recent broadcast: the muppets.

On Friday December 2, Follow The Money host Eric Bolling dedicated a segment to discrediting the latest Muppet movie, slamming them for naming the villain Tex Richman in what he thought of as an attack on capitalism.

'We're teaching our kids class warfare!' he said on the show. 'Where are we, communist China?'

In The Muppets, the gang of famous puppets fight to keep a wealthy oil executive from tearing down their historic theater in order to drill for oil.

Fox commentators took the name and occupation of the movie's villain, played by Academy Award winner Chris Cooper, as an affront to the American way of life.

'It's brainwashing in the most obvious form!' said guest and fellow Fox commentator Andrea Tantaros.

'I just wish liberals could just leave little kids alone!' she continued.

Another participant in the segment was Dan Gainor from the conservative-leaning Media Research Center, who said that this is not the first time that liberal sentiments have been shown in movies and television aimed at children.

He cited old television shows like Captain Planet and Nickelodeon's Big Green Help as earlier examples.

'It's amazing how far the left will go to manipulate your kids to give the anti-corporate message,' Mr Gainor said.

'I mean this is a Muppet movie for goodness sakes! The only thing green on the screen should be Kermit!'
