The romance continues: Ashley Tisdale and Taylor Swift's ex return from romantic New York trip

He’s one of a few men she has been seen out and about with since splitting from her boyfriend of two years Scott Speer - but it looks like Ashley Tisdale and her new beau are getting pretty serious already.

Following a night at a Robin Thicke gig a couple of weeks ago, the High School Musical actress went all the way to New York with new love interest, musician Martin Johnson.


The pair enjoyed a pre-New Year’s Eve bash meal at Lady GaGa’s father’s restaurant, Joanne Trattoria, in the Big Apple.

But the blonde was glad to be back in Los Angeles where she resides yesterday, landing at LAX with the Boys Like Girls frontman who dated Taylor Swift, 22, two years ago.

'Taylor was really head over heels for Martin, but her team didn't really feel that he was a good influence on her or her image,' an insider told RadarOnline.com.

According to the source, the American rocker was tackling some demons when he was linked to Swift but has apparently turned his life around now. And evidently so.

Johnson and Tisdale, both 26, put on a heart-warming display as they walked through the terminal on Monday.

The actress donned funky attire which was hardly appropriate for a five-hour flight.

She looked great, nonetheless, teaming skin-tight red trousers with a sheer long-sleeved top over a black vest.

Her new beau channelled the ultimate rock star as he layered up with a printed tee, check shirt and leather jacket.

Their trip to the East Coast, clearly helped solidify their burgeoning romance as the affectionate couple were snapped giggling and snuggling as they collected their luggage with the help of an airport aide.

The passion didn’t end there either as Ashley was in for more of treat when she arrived back at her pad.

Within an hour of telling Twitter followers ‘ a hot bath sounds so good right now’, a candlelit tub filled with oils was waiting for her.
