Pittsburgh Fight At Dark Knight Rises - Two days after a gunman shot 70 people in a movie house in Colorado, a "Dark Knight Rises" screening near Pittsburgh turned chaotic on Sunday night when a fight broke out in the theater, authorities and witnesses said.
The crowd got nervous when two people began shouting at each other during the early evening showing of the new Batman flick at AMC Loews Waterfront 22 in West Homestead.
"There were two people who got into an argument, and one person yelled something that induced people to get into a panic," Colin Marks, 25, told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
The fight sparked a stampede for the exits, and some theatergoers were trampled in the frenzy, a witness told local station WPXI television.
"It was scary. People were screaming. Everyone was running, kind of pushing each other," an unidentified witness told the station.
"People were dropping things. Everyone was getting down. It was definitely chaotic. Everyone's heart was racing."
At least two theatergoers were hurt, the station reported.
Cops from both the West Hempstead and Hempstead police departments responded to the scene along with police dogs, but no one was arrested, according to reports.
It wasn't clear what started the fight. A manager at the theater declined to comment.
West Hempstead police chief Christopher Deasy didn't respond to a message on his voicemail.
Hempstead Police Chief Jeffrey DeSimone told the Gazette that theatergoers were likely still on edge from Friday morning's massacre at a packed movietheater in Aurora, Colo., which left 12 people dead and 58 injured.
"It happened before and it will probably happen again," he said. "Unfortunately, that's just the world we live in."
In 2005, a man was shot to death in the theater's lobby after a fight broke out following a showing of the 50 Cent flick, "Get Right or Die Tryin'."
