Deadliest Catch star missing

One “Deadliest Catch” star missing was missing during the pre-season episode, but it doesn't mean he's gone for good.

Elliott Neese, captain of the Ramblin’ Rose, was absent from the "Mutiny on the Bering Sea” episode, according to Yahoo News, but Neese implied, through his Twitter account, that it doesn’t mean he’ll be missing during the ninth season: "…don’t believe everything you see,” he tweeted on Thursday to one of his fans.

“In all honesty, I’m kinda not surprised Elliott isn’t here this year,” Yahoo News quoted Sig Hansen, captain of the F/V Northwestern.

Scott Campbell from the Seabrooke said in lieu of Neese being MIA: “He should be up here; he should already be ready to go.”

Missing the pre-season show hasn’t been Neese’s only problem. State Wildlife Troopers fined him after season 8 when the youngest captain on the show had possession of undersized St. Matthew blue king crab.

“I bought my own boat to prove stupid people like you wrong ” Neese tweeted on Thursday, making it seem unlikely he won’t be a part of the newest season. He added: “Crew showed up today really gettin to work on the boat we have 2 months to do a total retrofit/ makeover I hope we can make our deadline!!”

“This year a lot of young guys are trying to get a start, make a name for themselves,” Hansen told The Hollywood Reporter during an interview this week.
