Kat Von D wedding, Kat Von D is anything but traditional, so it is no surprise that she's planning a totally nontraditional wedding for her and Canadian music producer Joel Zimmerman, aka "Deadmau5."

Von D and Deadmau5 will marry in an "underwater-themed" wedding on Aug. 10 in front of about 200 family and friends, People magazine reported. The famed tattoo artist assures that it will be "the furthest thing" from ordinary.

Although some of the performers at the reception will be dressed as mermaids, Von D will be wearing a wedding gown designed by Falguni and Shane Peacock.

"It will have a sleek silhouette and include hints of iridescent teals, blues and deep violet ombré gradients," she told the magazine.

Von D and Deadmau5 got engaged in December when he proposed to the "LA Ink" star via Twitter. The proposal came just one month after the two announced they had split, but she said "yes."

In a November interview with Inked magazine, the 31-year-old opened up about her relationship with Deadmau5 and revealed that she has been waiting her whole life for a love like this.

“I think I had been living in a state of longing and didn’t even realize it,” she said. “One thing is to dream and wish for a love—a true and noble one—but it is a very different thing to actually live it, without feeling like you’re trying to make some- thing happen that really isn’t there. I’ve always believed in this kind of real love, but now I don’t see it as an imaginary idea.”
