Adrian Peterson on Gay Marriage: Not "With It"

On the field, Adrian Peterson leaves little room for debate: He's one of the best running backs in the history of the NFL.

But the All-Pro appeared last week on Sirius XM NFL Radio and stirred up some controversy with his thoughts on gay marriage.

"I’m not with it,” Peterson said. “I have relatives that are gay. I’m not biased towards them. I still treat them the same. I love them. But, again, I’m not with that. That’s not something I believe in. But to each his own.”

With Jason Collins have recently come out and Robbie Rogers having signed with the Los Angeles Galaxy, it's safe to assume many more athletes will soon be asked for their take on this issue.

It's been rumored that four gay NFL players will reveal their sexuality prior to the 2013-2014 season kicking off.

If that happens, Peterson and company will be answering questions about a lot more than just 4-3 defenses and zone blocking this fall.
