Kelly Ripa 1996 Photo

Kelly Ripa 1996 Photo, For Kelly Ripa, it seems like yesterday when she swapped vows with Mark Consuelos.

The talk show host celebrated her 17th wedding anniversary by posting a touching picture of her and Mark Consuelos' 1996 nuptials on Twitter.

Kelly, who still looks decades younger than her 42 years, relived the day when she said 'I do' to her then-All My Children co-star.

'Omg. Here it is. 5/1/96,' Kelly wrote in the caption, adding: 'I love you @MarkConsuelos happy anniversary! 17 years feels like 17 days.'

The picture shows the couple from a side view as they lovingly gaze into each other's eyes.

The pair were married in a short but sweet ceremony in a Las Vegas chapel and Kelly is wearing a sparkly pink dress and Mark is darkly handsome in an elegant shirt.

Mark, also 42, chimed in with his own tweet: 'Happy 17th anniversary to my boo @KellyRipa..'

Although there is no special name for the 17th year anniversary, apparently the traditional gift is furniture, which Kelly and Mark probably have enough of by now.

Kelly spent the morning of her special day working of course on her morning show, Live With Kelly & Michael.

The chatty blonde and co-host Michael got to talk with guest actor Jim Parsons of The Big Bang Theory and singer Carly Rae Jepson performed Tonight I'm Getting Over You.

No doubt Kelly and Mark had a special celebration planned for later.

Kelly is quick to point out that, after nearly two decades of marriage and three children - Michael, 15, Lola, 11, and Antonio, 10 - not everything is perfect behind closed doors.

'I am openly hostile when Mark leaves the toilet seat up,' Kelly told PEOPLE. 'I don't think you get past the little pet peeves.

'Mark never puts the toilet seat back down, and it irritates me. We still fight about it. But it's OK to fight about things.

'We're secure with each other. I don't feel like if we have an argument, it will be the end of our lives.'

She added: 'I really do worship Mark. I love everything about him, even his annoying habits.'
