Timothy Alsip robs bank. A man robbed a bank in Clackamas Friday, but only asked for $1 before sitting down and waiting for police.
Just before 10:30 a.m., 50-year-old Tim Alsip gave the bank teller at the Bank of America at 9171 SE 82nd Avenue a note that said “This is a holdup. Give me a dollar,” said Mark Nikolai with the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.
Alsip got the dollar, sat down in the lobby and waited for police.
He was arrested and taken to the Clackamas County Jail on robbery charges.
The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office said they have dealt with Alsip several times over the past week when he complained of problems including dental issues and overdosing on drugs.
"His behavior today is consistent with the behavior he has displayed over the last week," they said.
