Chinese Zodiacs – Gung hay fat choy to all as we welcome the Chinese New Year here in the Western Hemisphere. The Chinese community will be celebrating the start of the Chinese calendar and along with it is the lucky charm that would be brought to us by the metal rabbit. Yearly, lantern is being lit up to celebrate this occasion and unfortunately this year over 60 lantern remnants were found on Manchester Airport runway over the course of the festive season which caused a big problem to the airport authority. Nonetheless, the celebration was safe and fun from all parts of the world.
The Chinese New year is being celebrated during the first day of the First Moon on the lunar calendar. Chinese lanterns had been traditionally employed for almost 2,000 years. The lanterns are typically made from paper, supported by a frame that incorporates a holder at the base to your solid fuel heat source.
The Chinese new year 2011 is the year of the metal rabbit which by all means a good ally of ox and pig. Therefore, this is the luckiest year for both of those who were born on the year of either ox or pig. In terms of finance, this year will be the best year for the Tigers as they will be more productive that would bring financial freedom.
Chinese zodiac is composed of Rat, Pig, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Ram, Monkey, Rooster and Pig. All of these are further differentiated by the balance between the yin and yang. There are five elements that can be attributed to the zodiac.
1) Wood
2) Fire
3) Earth
4) Metal
5) Water
This elements are being used in feng sui as this can be directly associated with the life force.
