Gisele Bundchen Calls Sunscreen Poision, or Did She? Reps Claim Tom Brady's Wife Misquoted
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's wife, Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen, found herself in hot water this week when she reportedly called sunscreen poison.
The longtime Victoria's Secret model and "world's hottest WAG" titleholder was promoting her new line of skin care products when she reportedly referred to sunscreen as poision.
However, Bundchen's representatives released a statement today that the supermodel had been misquoted, that her meaning had been lost in translation.
They claimed Bundchen had been referring to her products' lack of an SPF, and the lack of several typical sun-blocking chemicals, some of which can be harmful.
But was Brady's wife really misquoted? Or is she just trying to cover her tracks?
Sunscreen may seem like nothing major, but skin cancer is no laughing matter, and people have shown a propensity for being incredibly sensitive about it. For Bundchen to discount one of the primary defenses against the condition puts her in understandably hot water.
It seems fairly unlikely that a bevy of journalists would all misquote her, and I can't help but feel like she probably just misspoke and is trying to cover up for it.
In the end, this seems to be one big misunderstanding, and something tells me it won't take too long for us to find it in our hearts to forgive her for her misstep.
