Speaking to Rachael Ray on her TV chat show, Lopez — who’s one of the new judges on American Idol — admits that some of the best female vocals she’s heard can be found at her very own home.
“It’s funny when you listen to her, because…she sings out of pure joy and pleasure,” she said.
“The minute she thinks you’re watching her, she stops.
“But she has a beautiful little voice, almost like a little Shirley Temple vibrato type thing.As for Emme’s twin brother, Max, Lopez says he’s happy to be the center of attention.
“We travel a lot, and the minute we get anywhere, we put everything away,” Lopez tells Ray. “No flowers, no nothing, no cups, no forks, no knives, no fruit. [He's] into everything, and just wants to throw and break everything in the world.”
Recent reports claimed Lopez is jealous of her fellow Idol judge Steven Tyler.
“This was meant to be Jennifer’s big comeback,” a source told the PopEater website. “The entire re-branding of the show was built around her, but now it’s all about Steven 24/7.
“She’s mystified at how this happened and has made it very clear to the producers that the cameras need to spend a little more time adoring Jennifer’s favorite idol — herself.”
“The show has experienced year-to-year declines of about 10 percent for the last several seasons now, so everyone expected ratings to drop,” said one TV insider.
“The only question was how much they drop. And although the show did drop, it still produced huge numbers easily beating all its competition.
“Last week’s episode was actually up from last Thursday’s episode by nearly 18 percent, and was down only 9 percent from the equivalent episode last year.”
