Oprah reveals her favorite guest. On Friday's edition of "The Oprah Winfrey Show," the talk-show icon finally sits down and revealed who she feels -- out of 25 years on television -- is her favorite guest ever on the show. This was inevitably a difficult decision to make, but Oprah's rationale seemed to be choosing someone for what they have accomplished and also how they inspired others -- and also has little to do with whether or not they are famous.


While there are a number of significant people appearing on the show, the honor for "Favorite Guest Ever" ultimately goes to Dr. Tererai Trent, a Zimbabwe-born woman who had to educate herself, was married off at age 11, and had to write down her dreams and bury them under rocks. Through all of this, she somehow managed to earn a Ph.D after moving to America -- which was one of her goals so many years before.

In order to properly commemorate Dr. Trent on her accomplishments, Oprah is donating the hefty sum of $1.5 million to help fund a school in her village back in Africa -- a step to hopefully giving some people the opportunity to have an easier journey to success than she had.
