Man stabbed over board game, cops say, Los Angeles - Go directly to jail. That was the order police gave a 60-year-old grandmother in Santa Fe, New Mexico, who was arrested on charges of stabbing her boyfriend in an argument over a game of Monopoly.
The incident occurred Wednesday, according to the Santa Fe New Mexican newspaper, when police responded to a stabbing call and found a 48-year-old man bleeding heavily from wounds to his head and arm.
They arrested Laura Chavez, 60, who reportedly smashed a bottle over her boyfriend's head and then stabbed him with a kitchen knife.
Chavez' 10-year-old grandson was in the apartment at the time and reportedly told police that all three of them had been playing Monopoly when an argument broke out after Chavez accused the man of cheating. stabbed monopoly, stabbed monopoly game, stabbed monopoly cheating,
The victim was hospitalized in stable condition, while Chavez was being held in jail in lieu of 5,000 dollar bail.
