Adele’s Strange Requests

Although pop singer Adele had to cancel her recent tour do to surgery on her vocal chords, that doesn’t mean she might not have found other reasons not to perform.

According to The Smoking Gun website, Adele’s tour rider contained some very specific requests. The failure to provide any of these items would allow Adele to cancel any performance.


The items requested include cigarette, beer that does not come from North America, chewing gum, fresh sandwiches that could not contain tomatoes or citrus fruit. It also demanded post-concert treats like bite-size chocolates and exactly six cereal bars.

Riders are commonplace in the music industry, and to her credit, Adele also demanded that anybody given free tickets to her show had to donate $20 to a charity of her choosing when picking up the seats at will call.
