Marcus Allen + Analyst for Fox Sports News, Fox has picked the studio face as it begins its first-ever regular season college football coverage: Marcus Allen. Allen, the ex-USC star and former CBS NFL analyst, will join Kevin Frazier, who hosts The Insider, in Fox's inaugural college football studio show.
The program debuts this weekend on Fox's FX cable TV channel and will also air on Fox's regional cable channels.
FX's first game is Tulsa-Oklahoma Saturday night. Gus Johnson, who's moved from CBS, will be on play-by-play. The analyst will be Charles Davis and ex-Minnesota coach Tim Brewster will serve as sideline reporter.
Next year, the Fox broadcast network channel will carry college football.
