Biggie Smalls Ghost

Biggie Smalls Ghost, A new animated series, in the works from Ossian Media, is making headlines due to it's premise. The cartoon stars the children of late rapper The Notorious B.I.G., real name Christopher Wallace.

According to a press release, the cartoon will follow the children, ages 16 and 19, as they attempt to keep their father's recording studio alive and thriving. The kids will have to ward off a potential corporate takeover, but will have an interesting guide along the way. The ghost of their slain father will appear, helping them through the adversities they face.

Wallace's children view the animated series as a way to honor their father through their own creativity, saying, "This project, 'House Of Wallace,' is a great opportunity for us to bridge the gap between our parents, who loved his music, and the kids and young adults our ages, that were not around to really appreciate it."

Wallace was gunned down outside of a party in 1997, effectively ending a period in rap music that left west coast artists at war with those from the east coast. Wallace's death followed the shooting death of Tupac Shakur less than a year earlier.

So far, no network has signed up "House of Wallace," though according to the Associated Press, Ossian says serious discussions are ongoing.
