Patrick Stewart wedding, It's actually happening. Magneto is marrying Professor X — well, kind of. Sir Ian McKellen is set to officiate the wedding of his co-star Sir Patrick Stewart to Sunny Ozell, a 35-year-old jazz singer.
During an appearance on The Jonathan Ross Show, McKellen announced, "I'm going to marry Patrick," much to the audience's pleasure. "How else do you put that? I'm going to officiate at his wedding," the actor clarified.
This won't be McKellen's first time playing minister. He said he'd officiated a wedding before "with two guys having a civil partnership. I was crying my eyes out."
So what exactly does one wear to officiate a wedding? The first time, McKellen said that he "went with a sort of gown, something I bought in India that was rather fetching. You mustn't upstage the bride."
McKellen and Stewart will reprise their X-Men roles for the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past.
