If there's evidence to suggest he left the scene without fully disclosing information, his probation could be violated and he could face a prison term of up to four years.
Mail Online reached out to Chris' spokespeople but have yet to hear back, but TMZ report that Brown claims the other driver has been avoiding him and that he did nothing wrong... which the pictures taken at the scene seem to back up.
Brown is said to be living with Karrueche Tran once again after splitting from Rihanna again.
Karrueche was on hand to take photographic evidence of the smash.
According to TMZ Karrueche has been staying with the singer since they got together again and she has already moved most of her clothing and other personal belongings into his Hollywood Hills home.
The website reports the petite model has wisely decided to keep her own apartment for the time being.
The duo have been involved in raunch Twitter exchanges, which have obviously displeased Rihanna.
After Karrueche tweeted an image of her bare bottom thrust in Chris’ face Rihanna retaliated with a picture of her own derriere.
The latest twist in the love triangle comes as the Diamonds singer is reportedly very upset with Topshop heiress Chloe Green.
In recent months Chloe has been spotted partying with Chris on a number of occasions.
And in what may or may not be a coincidence Chloe’s father Sir Philip Green is currently facing a £3.5million lawsuit from Rihanna.
A source close to Rihanna revealed: ‘She knows exactly what goes on in Chris’s life and she has been aware about Chloe for a while – she’s really not happy. Rihanna considered Chloe a friend.’
Karrueche was left disappointed last October when he ended their relationship to get back with his former flame Rihanna.
But just months after confirming his reconciliation with the Diamonds pop star, he announced that they had split again during an interview with Australian radio hosts Kyle & Jackie O Show.
He said: 'The way I look at it is, I'm always going to love that person, but people have differences, and people have different wants and needs, at the end of the day she's a young girl.'
