Names inspired by 'Teen Mom' and 'Twilight' also gain popularity
The 2010 baby name list is out, and the classics are reigning supreme once again. But new parents are also finding name inspiration in interesting places, including the "Teen Mom" reality show, "Twilight" and even Angelina Jolie's kids.

The Social Security Administration, which tracks baby names in the U.S., announced the top baby names of 2010 exclusively on TODAY. The most popular names for girls are:
1. Isabella
2. Sophia
3. Emma
4. Olivia
5. Ava
6. Emily
7. Abigail
8. Madison
9. Chloe
10. Mia

And the top boys' names are:

1. Jacob
2. Ethan
3. Michael
4. Jayden
5. William
6. Alexander
7. Noah
8. Daniel
9. Aiden
10. Anthony

While the favorite names remained mostly unchanged since last year, there were some surprises. On the boys' list, Joshua dropped off the top 10 for the first time since 1978. Replacing it is Aiden, which has been rocketing in popularity over the past few years.

The first baby with three biological parents could be conceived next year after the Government announced a major review of Britain’s fertility laws.

The move would allow doctors to use a revolutionary IVF technique that prevents incurable, deadly genetic illnesses being passed down from mothers to their children.

Babies created with the therapy – called three-parent IVF – would inherit 98 per cent of their DNA from their ‘real’ parents. The rest would come from a female donor.

'I'm very happy to be in the Guinness World Records! A lot of people have to do a lot to get in,' she said. 'All I did was answer a few questions and then they gave it to me.'

It turns out, the same values that pushed adventurous individuals into new territories as our country was being populated may still show up in the names their descendants give to babies, a new study finds.
In more recently established states, such as Washington and Oregon, parents tend to choose less common baby names, while parents in "older" areas, such as the original 13 states, go for more popular names.
Frontiers typically have fewer established institutions or infrastructure, and often occupy harsh environments. Early pioneers couldn't rely on others for help in such sparsely populated areas.

For Priscilla, air temperatures below 70 degrees -- or even eating chilly foods -- trigger an allergic reaction of hives, swelling and difficulty breathing. Left untreated, the cold could literally kill her.
