After such a long spell of bad fortune, it seems as though things are looking up at last. Cole stepped out in London last night to launch her new range of stylish footwear!

She was in very high spirits as she mingled with her celebrity pals and tweeted about her evening. This could be the start of a new venture for the singer, and she has already expressed an interest in following in the fashion designing footsteps of Victoria Beckham. Whether Cheryl can really become a hotshot designer remains to be seen, but if she does, she will be in good company. Here are five other celebrities who have launched successful footwear lines.

Speaking at the launch of her shoe line at Macy's, Fergie said, "I think that different artists put more effort and energy into their brands than others and that's okay. Many of her designs look similar to those that can be found on the high street. The biggest difference is that Fergie's range is much more expensive!
