Noel Gallagher outselling Matt Cardle - Great news for all you ‘real’ music fans out there, Noel Gallagher’s debut solo album ‘High Flying Birds’ looks on target to hit the number 1 spot in the UK album chart next week, therefore keeping X-Factor 2010 winner Matt Cardle’s debut album ‘Letters’ off the top spot!

Both albums have the same release date of Monday 17th October but Amazon have predicted that the former Oasis star’s new album has pre-sale orders of up to 13% more than Cardle’s new release.

Noel’s solo album has also out sold his younger brother Liam’s first album ‘Different Gear, Still Speeding’ with his new band Beady Eye by over 252% more in pre-order sales!

Sour Mash Records, Noel’s label, have also today announced (in conjunction with Teenage Cancer Trust and Blue Dot) that they will be running a competition to give away a pair of tickets to one lucky winner for each of his UK shows!
