Jessica Alba Haircut - As an exotic dancer working at Kadie's Bar, Nancy Callahan is a sensitive, caring soul who occasionally becomes involved in the criminal world.
Played by Jessica Alba in the 2005 movie Sin City, Nancy is also a blonde.
So with pre-production beginning on Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, the stunning actress today began transforming her tresses to reprise her stripper role for the cult movie.
'Bye bye brown hair,' tweeted the actress, posting an accompanying photo of herself with a sad pout.
'I'm documenting my hair to Sin City blonde!' she said.
Posting the first photos from Estilo Salon on Beverly Boulevard, Jessica tweeted: 'Stage 1 -ok it doesn't look that different but it's a process'.
The next photo tweeted by the Fantastic Four star shows her with considerably lighter hair.
It's likely Jessica's hair stylist used the hair lightening technique called ombre, which literally means gradation in French, and has been enjoying somewhat of a revival in celebrity circles.
It refers to the light-to-dark shade of colour used in the technique, so that instead of colour that starts at the root, darker roots blend into a lightened mid-shaft and end.
Jessica's stylist is Robert Ramos, the owner of Estilo Salon, who is also stylist to Eva Mendez, Brittany Murphy and Rachel McAdams, among others.
The in-demand actress recently completed filming on Machete Kills, which was directed by Robert Rodriquez, the same director on Sin City, and is slated for release next year.
Alba will also appear next year in A.C.O.D., about a grown man still caught in the crossfire of his parents' 15-year divorce, opposite Adam Scott and Jane Lynch.
The new film version of Sin City, due for release in October 2013, also stars Mickey Rourke, Michael Madsen, and Devon Aoki.
Earlier in the day, Jessica was spotted with her family at their favourite low-key eaterie, Nate 'N' Al's deli in Beverly Hills.
The actress was accompanied by her husband Cash Warren, their four-year-old daughter Honor, and one-year-old daughter Haven.
