“Kate Winslet married Ned Rock'nRoll in NY earlier this month in a private ceremony attended by her two children and a very few friends and family,” the rep said in a statement. “The couple had been engaged since the summer.”
Rocknroll is the nephew of Virgin Group's Richard Branson. In 2011, Winslet was at Branson’s home on Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands when it caught fire after being struck by lightning.
An unnamed source told British media outlets that Winslet’s friend and co-star Leonardo DiCaprio not only was present for the secret wedding, but also gave the bride away.
This is Winslet’s third marriage. She was previously hitched to director Jim Threapleton and director Sam Mendes.
