Howard Stern mansion: Shock jock Howard Stern 'buys luxurious $52m Florida beachfront mansion'

Howard Stern, shock jock and judge of American's Got Talent, has bought a $52million beachfront mansion in Florida, it has been reported.

The home, in exclusive Palm Beach, was put on the market by textile tycoon Martin Trust and has now been sold.

The family home boasts 12.5 bathrooms and five bedrooms over 19,000 square foot on the waterfront.

The home is the biggest sale in the area this year, according to the Palm Beach Daily News.

The radio broadcaster has been reportedly searching for a home with wife Beth Ostrosky.

It appears he now plans to split his time between Florida and New York City, where he is already based.

Aerial shots of the property reveal beautifully tended and expansive grounds surrounded by a high wall along with a swimming pool and lounge area under stone columns.

Stern, 59, is one of America's most popular and enduring DJs, known for his controversial style.

He is worth an estimated $500million and has branched into TV, photography and written several books over his long career.

He currently is on the panel of America's Got Talent along with Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel.

Palm Beach is an exclusive enclave in southern Florida where the residents' motto is 'The best of everything'.

More than half the residents are over 65 years old and notable past residents have included the Kennedy clan, Michael Jackson and John Lennon.
