Kanye Requests No Man-Made Fibers On Tour Rider

Kanye Requests No Man-Made Fibers On Tour Rider, While some stars have relatively simple demands in their riders (see Nicki Minaj and Adele), others are pretty high maintenance. Joining the diva ranks? Kanye West and M.I.A.

Yeezy’s demands are unusual, but considering the source, probably not unexpected. West specifically requests “imported and recut Versace towels.” To shower in? Nope. He just uses them to wipe the sweat off his brow.

It gets better. West doesn’t want the best textiles just for himself, but also for his employees. The Sun reports that West ”demands that any drivers ferrying him are clad in 100 per cent cotton: No man-made fibers.”

M.I.A. doesn’t seem to have a taste for American food. Her rider requests a European cheese and cracker tray and Italian chocolates (no Hershey’s here!). The ‘Bad Girls’ songstress also asks for hummus and pita bread.

We know what she eats, so what does M.I.A. sip on? She asks for bottles of rum, vodka, tequila, white wine, red wine and a six-pack of Heineken — and something much more powerful. M.I.A. also requests a bottle of absinthe.

Ihe most bizarre request between the two goes to M.I.A. The Sri Lankan spitter demands the venue hire three female extras for every one of her shows. The women need to be between 20 and 25 years old and are required to “groove to the music” onstage with her for the entire show. That doesn’t sound too bad, until you read further: the women are required to be dressed in “full-covered Burkas,” which M.I.A. expects the venue to provide. Do they usually have those handy at Madison Square Garden? Give ‘em a break, M.I.A.!
