Beauty queen faces felony charges
According to the criminal complaint obtained by 7 Action News, 26-year-old Shaletta Porterfield, falsified signatures on advertising contracts at a job, where she allegedly called potential clients and signed them up for services they did not want or request.
Police say after a while Porterfield just started picking random victims from a phone book without even calling them. Porterfield told them she did not need the money and was going to pay it back, but she needed her numbers to be up.
Porterfield graduated from Walled Lake High School in 2003 and then went on to attend the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
