Avril Lavigne friend Mexico - Avril Lavigne was spotted getting very touchy-feely with a female companion over the weekend as she soaked up the sun on the beach.
The 27-year-old singer - who is enjoying a sunshine break with pals in Mexico - put on a tactile show with the busty brunette on Friday, hugging her and even snuggling up together on their lounger.
Avril is newly-single following her split from boyfriend Brody Jenner back in January.
But it appears she is putting any heartache behind her during her Cabo San Lucas stay - as she appeared to be in great spirits.
Lavigne was back on the beach again yesterday and slipped into a skimpy green bikini of her own design before joining her friends for a spot of snorkelling.
Leaving her luxury yacht for a smaller dinghy, Avril donned a mask before diving in.
Beckoned in by a friend she swam around, enjoying the nature at her resort in idyllic Los Cabos.
Avril laughed and joked with her friends as she climbed back onboard to dry off.
She proved the perfect advert for her green bikini, which is from her own clothing range, Abbey Dawn and costs $50.
Avril also showed she hasn't abandoned her alternative style, with an edgy undercut haircut.
Her crop – which is favoured by famous faces including Rihanna and model Alice Dellal - follows months of Avril dying her hair unusual colours including green and pink.
Along with her bikini and edgy haircut, Avril's skimpy outfit also revealed her tattoos, including a skull and crossbones, star and various writing.
Since bursting onto the pop scene as a 17-year-old 'skater-girl' Avril has always stayed active, but she recently claimed she relied on her busy lifestyle to keep her body in shape.
The singer says her busy career means she rarely gets to visit the gym.
'If I didn't work and was at home and had a normal schedule I'd work out all the time, but it's really hard to do that when you travel because you're so tired,' she told Now magazine.
'My excuse is that I work out on stage, running around all night.'
