Risky Business Porsche At Auction - Whether you're a Tom Cruise fan or sports car enthusiast, a piece of Hollywood history could soon be yours.
Appearing at auction later this month in Calabasas Hills, California, the 1979 Porsche 928 driven by Tom Cruise in the 1983 hit film Risky Business will be up for sale.
The 5-speed manual transmission vehicle featured in the chase scene by Guido the pimp but spared the heart-stopping plunge into Lake Michigan is expected to fetch between $40,000-$60,000.

If its blockbuster charm isn't enough, it's also the exact vehicle the young Tom Cruise learned how to drive a stick shift on for the film, according to the movie's producer Jon Avnet.
One of three models used for the film, the gold vehicle originally painted green when first arriving on set features a 'cork, brown and crème' interior.
The dubbed 'most famous Porsche 928 in the world,' according to many Porsche enthusiasts, it was previously on exhibit at the Forney Museum of Transportation in Denver.
'So your folks are going out of town, you've got the place to yourself...' actor Curtin Armstrong coaxes Tom Cruise's character Joel in the film to let loose, which eventually leads to the car's sinking in the lake.
That vehicle, a dubbed 'dump car,' was a gutted model used in the film.
In operating condition, with 102,755 miles on it, the vehicle according to Yahoo's Today in Tech could fetch around $12,000 at auction if not having had Cruise behind the wheel.
The Hollywood Auction will take place July 30-31 and also feature such movie gems as Patrick Stewart's 'Professor X' electric wheelchair - used in the first three X-Men films - that's estimated at fetching $60,000-$80,000.
A screen-used proton pack from the 1984 Ghostbusters movie is also up for auction for an estimated $60,000-$80,000.
A matching ghost trap with 'foot-control actuator' from the same movie is also available for an estimated $20,000-$30,000.
But if those aren't enough a green 'Slimer' animation maquette is also up for bidding at $6,000-$8,000.
