Lohan Misses Flight, Lindsay Lohan is racing to make her cross-country touchdown in court—and it looks like it'll be a photo finish.

The embattled actress hopped on a private plane from New York to Los Angeles early Monday morning, E! News has confirmed, in a rush to make her scheduled trial over charges that she violated her probation stemming from her car crash last June.

The flight comes in the wake of reports of an 11th-hour scramble after Lohan hopped off an earlier flight moments before takeoff.

Lohan Released After Less Than 5 Hours in Jail

Actress Lindsay Lohan was released from jail after spending less than 5 hours in custody Friday afternoon for a probation violation.

She was sentenced to 120 days in county jail after Judge Stephanie Sautner found that Lohan had violated the terms of her probation from a previous drunk-driving charge.

She was bailed out on $75,000 shortly before 9:30 Friday evening after her lawyer, Shawn Holley, filed a notice to appeal the sentence.

A jail captain told KTLA that the actress was "cooperative, cordial and optimistic" during her stay.

The actress was in court earlier in the day for a preliminary hearing in her jewelry theft case.

Judge Stephanie Sautner ruled that the theft case will proceed to trial, but she reduced the felony theft charge to a misdemeanor.
Sautner said Lohan should have notified the store about the necklace sooner, but instead waited until police were about to serve a search warrant at her house.


In addition to the jail time, Lohan was ordered to complete 480 hours of community service.

360 of those hours will be performed at the Downtown Women's Center, and the remaining 120 will be done at the L.A. County Morgue.

She was expected to be booked at the Lynwood Correctional Facility and then released on bail.

Lohan pleaded not guilty March 23 to charges she stole a $2,500 necklace from Venice jewelry store Kamofie and Co.

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian is set to star alongside John Travolta as John Gotti's daughter in a new mobster film, according to US reports.

The 30-year-old has been named as a possible actress in the new movie, which stars Travolta.

Kardashian, who is best known for her role in US reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, has been in talks to play the role of Gotti's daughter-in-law, also called Kim, according to TMZ.com.

Gotti was one of New York's most feared crime bosses and the film will tell the story of three generations of the Gambino crime family, who John Gotti led after the murder of the previous boss, Paul Castellano.

In 1992 he was convicted of several crimes including 13 murders, illegal gambling, loansharking and tax evasion, and was sentenced to life in prison without parole.

Gotti died from throat cancer in 2002 at the United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield, Missouri.

Hollywood star James Franco could also be starring in the movie as Junior Gotti, who is believed to have taken over as the head of the family during his dad's incarceration.
