John Travolta turned away from KFC
John Travolta turned away from KFC, Despite being one of Hollywood's best-known actors, it seems even fame cannot get John Travolta a seat at a KFC restaurant. He was in West Sussex, England, for a Scientology conference when one of his assistants called the local KFC branch to try and secure a table for Travolta and some friends, the Daily Mail reports.
But the staff member who answered the phone said the Grease actor and his friends would have to queue at the counter with everybody else.
A KFC spokesman said: "In hindsight, of course, we would have reserved a table for him."
But the worker who took the call, who did not want to be named, is standing by her decision to bar the 57-year-old.
"To me, customers are customers, no matter who they are," she was quoted as saying.
"The lady who called didn't give me her name, she just said it will be for a Mr Travolta."
Travolta was attending an annual meeting at a mansion originally owned by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard which has since been turned into the UK headquarters of the religion.
