Scotty McCreery lip sync, Whoops! Scotty McCreery Flubs Appearance On Thanksgiving Day Parade. While most Americans were just putting their birds in the oven to roast on Thanksgiving morning, Scotty McCreery unfortunately had his "turkey moment" a little early.
The currently reigning American Idol, who was appearing on top of a float at the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade for a rendition of his smash hit "The Trouble With Girls," somehow missed his cue to start the performance.
Since all the artists who appear in the parade have to lip-sync their songs (sorry to burst anyone's bubble, there, if you didn't know that)--the end result was a major blooper caught on air, for all of the country to see. The music started, McCreery's voice poured out of the speakers, but McCreery himself wasn't moving his lips. Ouch!

It's no surprise McCreery's not letting the gaffe ruin his holiday. He's got an impressive list of blessings to count this season, the latest being a fourth straight week at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart for his debut Clear As Day. This puts him at the longest run at No. 1 on the country chart for an album by an American Idol contestant since Carrie Underwood's Some Hearts in 2005.
