Strip Club Next To Convent, Nuns Strip Club Convent Sick Elderly Sisters, Nuns fight strip club going up next to convent that houses sick and elderly sisters. The opening of a strip club in a Chicago suburb may be the start of a holy war because of its placement next door to convent.
‘What are we trying to teach the children in the neighbourhood?’ Sister Marissonia Daltoe told the Chicago Sun Times.
Approval for the club, which will be called ‘Get It’, has already gone through and there is little that the neighbouring Roman Catholic nuns can do even though certain regulations were not properly followed.

The Missionary Sisters of Saint Charles Borromeo-Scalabrians are now trying to raise public awareness of their objections and see if there are legal grounds to keep the club from opening its doors.
‘Get It’ would not be the first strip club in the area, as another venue called ‘Scores’ is down the street, but the proximity to such a religious home only serves to highlight the moral differences in establishment.
The $3million club was built only two feet away from the nun’s property line, leading those involved to wonder if that fails to follow city zoning laws.
There is also an added layer of insult because the nuns only heard about the project through neighbourhood chatter and were never officially informed by local officials. strip club next to convent, nuns strip club not safe
Typically neighbors are sent a letter when there is construction or a major change on their block, but no such letter arrived at the convent.
Unfortunately, there was a logistical error in that step because the county had incorrect property records for the convent and the nuns’ letter was sent to the wrong address.
‘I’m upset to learn this, but at that point, there was really nothing we could do,’ Stone Park Village attorney Dean Krone told The Sun Times.
This is not the first hiccup in the development of the strip club. The city was sued by the developers of the club in 2010, with them charging that business associates of the mayor tried to get a financial cut of the deal when it was being approved.
Mayor Beniamino Mazzulla vehemently denies this charge, and says that while he himself is not a big fan of the club, he has come to accept it.
‘By law everything was done correctly,’ he said.
‘I’m stuck with them.’
Developer Bob Itzkow has assured neighbours that he and his organizers have taken pains so that the club- which they call a gentlemen's cabaret as opposed to a strip club- will not cause problems once in place.
They have soundproofed the building and arranged the light displays in a way that it won't reflect out onto the neighbouring properties.
'We've taken great care to try to make sure we don't disturb our neighbours,' he told My Fox Chicago.
