On back-to-back moments caught on the scoreboard during the Miami Dolphins-Detroit Lions game Sunday, two Dolphins fans (one wearing a Dan Marino jersey) presented rings to a couple of lucky ladies.
The first woman waited at least 10 seconds with a stunned look on her face before offering a less-than-thrilled lackluster nod of approval.
The second woman simply covered her face with her t-shirt.
The camera cut away before she gave any type of answer. Awkward? You bet.
Sure, the men could have popped the question one day earlier on one of the most romantic holidays of the year. Then again, nothing says romance like a 1 p.m. kickoff between Miami and Detroit – two teams eliminated from the playoffs.
But hey, at least fans at Sun Life Stadium finally got some worthy entertainment.
