Amare Stoudemire Homophobic Slur - Amar’e caused an uproar when he directed a ‘homosexual slur’ at a fan on Twitter, causing the NBA to investigate the altercation! Find out all the details!
NBA basketball star Amar’e Stoudemire is currently in the midst of an investigation by the NBA after he sent out a “homosexual slur” to a fan on Twitter on Sunday June 24 — the same day as NYC Gay Pride Day!
Amar’e, who is recently engaged, replied to a fan who said, “You better come back a lot stronger and quicker to make up for this past season, dead[butt].’’
Amar’e's alleged reply on Twitter was, “F— you. I don’t have to do anything fa–ot.’’
Deadspin reported that Amar’e, 29, apologized to the fan through a direct message, after the story had already broke. “I apologize for what I said earlier,” Amar’e allegedly messaged. “I just got off the plane and had time to think about it. Sorry bro!! No excuses. Won’t happen again.”
A source told The Post that the NBA plans to look into the authenticity of the profane message.
It was definitely not cool for Amar’e to send such a cruel message — especially on the day of NYC’s Gay Pride Parade — but we’re happy Amar’e apologized for his actions!
